Taking Your Dental Care to the Next Level

We’re a small, family oriented dental office and we keep up to date with the latest dental technology. The field of dentistry is constantly evolving and coming up with ways to make your care more accurate and comfortable. Dr. Asra Javeed is dedicated to giving our patients at Smile Care Family Dentistry the highest-quality care possible, which is why she invests in cutting-edge dental technology. Contact us today to learn how these advancements can make your next appointment a breeze!

Intraoral Camera

Instead of having Dr. Javeed tell you what she sees in your mouth, our intraoral camera lets you see for yourself! This slim, pen-shaped device has a tiny camera on the end, which captures high-resolution images of your teeth, gums, and other oral structures. With these pictures, you can actually view what’s going on and understand why Dr. Javeed may recommend a particular course of treatment. Better yet, this technology allows us to detect minor cavities and infections much sooner than ever before.

Digital X-Rays

Even Dr. Javeed’s highly trained eyes can’t spot oral health problems that occur below the gumline. Tooth decay, gum disease, and even oral cancer are usually only caught after they’ve become serious. Luckily, we use digital dental X-rays to catch issues like these long before they reach that point. Digital X-rays capture high-quality images that take only a few seconds to develop. Plus, compared to traditional film, they emit 90% less radiation.

Digital Impression System

Digital impression system

In the past, getting a dental crown, bridge, or other restoration meant you had to bite into a gooy, messy, foul-tasting putty. At Smile Care Family Dentistry, that’s no longer the case! Taking digital dental impressions is a much easier process. All we need to do is scan your teeth with a tiny handheld instrument, and our computer generates an incredibly detailed 3D model within minutes. Not only are digital impressions more comfortable, but they often create more accurate restorations.
